We've all heard the saying "Sticks & Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." Well, words hurt. Jesus tells us in Luke 6 that "out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." The words we say and the things we communicate can not only be hurtful but is a good indicator of where our heart is at. Throughout the month of November we are going to invite students to take a serious look at the words they speak. Anger, Lying, and Judgment are all sources of hurt and pain for the people around us and our own heart. Join us as we discover how to let the words we speak bring hope, not hurt.
